The Gatehouse

Perched on a hill in the heart of Kirkstall, sits the former gatehouse to one of Britain's most romantic abbeys. Home to an extraordinary venue, The Gatehouse offers the opportunity to entertain guests in the rustic surroundings of a medieval 12th century landmark. With its grand Cistercian arches and gothic style windows, it provides a unique backdrop for any occasion.

The venue is made up of two annexes, a main room and two spacious patio courtyards at the front and rear of the building. The courtyards offer spectacular views of the Kirkstall Abbey ruins and are surrounded by lush green lawns; perfect for al fresco dining in the summer months.

Both annex rooms can be reserved during cafe opening hours and can seat between 15 and 25 guests - a perfect size for a business meeting or networking event. The venue can cater for 60 seated dinner guests in total and a maximum of 175 for canapé and drink receptions. This venue also enjoys unlimited free parking for guests at the adjacent car park.
